StarBlue IR Bluetooth Adapter - For Iridium Products Only
StarBlue is a Bluetooth Wireless Data adapter developed to give Iridium satellite phone users the convenience of using data services on a laptop computer away from the satellite phone or satellite vehicle kit, wirelessly and without the need for obtrusive cables. CURRENTLY UNDER FINAL REVIEW WITH IRIDIUM WITH ANTICIPATED LAUNCH DATE OF MAY, 2007.
Computer users now have operator friendly access to data services from up to a range of 100m to 1.2km, depending on environment and antenna choice. Compatible with most computers and operating systems using a Bluetooth USB devices or built-in Bluetooth capability - PDA’s not yet compatible.
- Bluetooth Class 1 devices average connection distance of 100m to 1.2km
- Bluetooth Class 2 devices average connection distance of 10m to 20m
StarBlue now gives you complete freedom to leave the vicinity of your satellite phone or Vehicle and still retain a satellite data connection. Break the cable link from your satellite phone and get the freedom to move and exchange data on demand anywhere on the Globalstar and Iridium networks.
